Q. What is Tecmo?

A. Tecmo is a video game company also notable for Ninja Gaiden and DOA.  There are several versions of this game for the NES, SNES, Genesis, PSX, and various handhelds.  However, the most popular version is the NES release, Tecmo Super Bowl, was the first video game to feature then all 28 teams and current NFL players for the start of the 1991 season plus a then groundbreaking season and stats system.

Q. Is it possible to edit the game data in these games?

A. Yes. Please refer to the Rom editing section of the message board.

Q. Can these games be played over the internet?

A. Yes. For each console, there is an emulator that simulates the console on a computer. For NES, there are a couple emulators (Nestopia, FCEx, Nesticle) that work fine. You can play online with the emulator against other people. To download the emulators, visit the downloads page.

Q. How do I find other people to play online to play?

A. The best place to start is the Tecmo Player's Circuit.  This is a place where you can find players
